Book day 2017

Book Day 2017 started with a reading breakfast and ended with bedtime stories.


Bake Off at Dogsthorpe Academy!

THE GREAT ‘DOGSTHORPE ACADEMY BAKE OFF’ IS BACK!!! This year’s D.A.B.O. is going to be held on Tuesday 27th September You will need to get involved with your amazing baking creations in one the following categories: Chocolate Cake, Celebration Cake, Cookies & Biscuits or Cupcakes & Muffins Entries need to be brought in SAFELY on Tuesday morning with the children in a labelled cake

Dogsthorpe Funday Festival

SATURDAY 24TH SEPTEMBER 12midday – 5pm COME ALONG TO OUR FUNDAY FESTIVAL and enjoy: Minions, Music, Rides, Tombola, Frozen, Inflatables,  reptile handling, assault course and much, much more!!! Also, bring a car boot at a cost of £4 per car. SEE YOU THERE!!  


Goodbye Mrs. Krzanicki :-(

The children and staff presented Mrs. Krzanicki with a wonderful bouquet of flowers, gifts and cards from everyone at Dogsthorpe Academy this morning in a special goodbye assembly. Mrs. Krzanicki watched a video montage of all the classes individual goodbye messages and staff shared memories and best wishes for the future.  (….and yes, we did see you reach for the tissues Mrs. Krzanicki!!) Road to Rio

Happy half term holiday

School finishes on Friday 27th May. Please remember we start back on Monday 6th June.


Our outdoor classroom is OPEN

The official opening took place on Monday with an outdoor assembly. The whole academy was entertained by dancers, scientists and the academy council.
